Dewey Reception

ben and i went home for the wedding reception open house at my parents church in dewey.... we had to take home my old bed and pick up a desk so we rented a mini-van-which was funny enough in itself...it was so great to see so many people and visit with everyone...even some family... we opened our gifts at home last night and got all sorts of great stuff. The best you ask??!! A rooster night light! WOW is all i can say and it definitely ranks on the list as the most unique gift we have received yet..... definitely one of a kind.....

not a big surprise

yep....its not a big surprise that i am home sick today. ben was sick this weekend...esp on sunday and i thought by using my zicam swabs i might escape it but NOPE-not so lucky. i think its kinda turned into a sinus infection so i have taken out my arsenal of sick items and i am laying on the couch with all of them in close reach. I woke up and attempted to get ready for work this morning but was too icky. BUT I must say....having cable with on demand and HBO and HDTV on a big flat screen....can't get any better than that!! well..it could get better than that if i wasnt sick......

slow growin'....

i just realized that I have forgotten to update you on taterpot and eggling! nothing is happening with eggling so i really have nothing to report-which is a tad annoying....but taterpot is growing like a little weed!! the mint is busting right out of the dirt....

i also gained a new office friend.....his name is Oz.....thanks to Karen he is now happily enjoying smiling at me on my desk. When I squeeze him he tells me: "Calm down, don't worry, wait a minute."-quite the uplifting little guy.....

ben has been sick the last few days and i thought i had escaped it BUT lo and behold my throat and nose are not feeling so pleasant....i bought some zicam nose swabs (yep..i get to stick them up my nose) which i hope will help to alleviate or stop my cold altogether...oh the drama......

CABLE!

it is a glorious day in our household today-day off of work, nice new tv time, -(ok-besides the fact that its snowing outside today)-its a good day. we got cable!! with HDtv and On Demand-AWESOME! The best part? well..i missed Lost last night and lo and behold I went to the abc on demand section and there it was!!! i didnt even have to add the extra dvr feature in order to watch a show i missed....that makes me one happy cable customer!

home again, home again

sadly enough we have returned from jamaica....it was an AWESOME trip and not so fun to come back to 40 degree weather BUT I am not complaining b/c it could be snowing!! Our plane was delayed yesterday so we didn't get home til about 1 am...but we have decided to extend our honeymoon to today and tomorrow and we are still taking it easy.

BUT..the best part of today was that we bought a brand new, super awesome 37" flat screen!!! Luckily we have an awesome friend named Jon who works at Best Buy and was able to help us secure this gem of a tv. Its awesome!! When we brought it into the apt we were so pumped to set it up... i think bens life will now consist of sitting on the couch playing numerous PS3 video games:)

so..its good to be back but i am not looking forward to normal life and work starting again....its so nice to have a vacation but i guess it cant go on forever.....sigh.....

Last full day in paradise

its been another WONDERFUL day here at Sandals...this morning we went snorkeling and it was so cool!! I have never done that before...there were so many beautiful fish. Once again our afternoon consisted of swimming in the "clothing optional" section BUT we were fully clothed. We leave tomm afternoon and it will be way hard to come back to weather that isn't sunny and in the 80s EVERY DAY!

Still having a BLAST

we checked out the other sandals resort...Montego Bay...today and yep....we definitely have the best resort!! so we came back here and swam at the clothing optional beach....with swimsuits ON.:) Its definitely the best beach here...the internet is being slow so i only got a few pictures on here....sorry...

Jamaica!!

the first few days have been AWESOME! So we were supposed to be staying in Sandals Inn...the cheapest of all the Sandals. LUCKILY Ben forgot to check in online so when we got here they told us the Inn was overbooked and they moved us up to the Royal Caribbean! IT IS AWESOME. Definitely way more top of the line than we paid for. We are having an absolute blast! Blue water, sandy beaches, warm amazing weather, no responsibilities, all you can food & drinks, and of course many other fun honeymoon activities......

so soon....

...and i will be married!! i will try to post some pictures for you, my favorite blog readers, on here before i leave for jamaica ....

i cant believe it is actually happening......and let me tell you...i am SO ready!! SO ready to be married to Ben, to have a place to live, sleep, etc....(not that i havent enjoyed jocelyns couch-but you get my point), to lay on the beaches of jamaica with no responsibilities and with only Ben.... i am looking very forward to seeing some friends and family i haven't seen in awhile also and i always love getting together with family-its going to be like one big party!!!

So my dear friends....next time i blog to you I will hopefully be married OR extremely close to being married!!


Today I ordered a gift for one of my favorite friends who is helping me with my wedding...I told the girl at the company I actually needed it rushed here by Friday b/c it was a Thank You gift for a friend helping with my wedding. This is the reply I got:

That's so nice! Congratulations on your wedding - how exciting - and how cool of you to order your friend a ninja for helping you when I'm sure you're pretty busy with all the finishing touches. Maybe you are one of these brides who is way ahead of the game...

nasty

for work i buy like 10 yogurts at a time and just stick them in the fridge here so i can have one each day for lunch. i bought a couple new flavors...passion fruit and guava. the passion fruit was ok...the guava? all i can say is NASTY!-i could barely swallow it all down
