yep.....thats me...the happy hooker...i checked this book out at the library and here is an example of my work so far...more like my practice work so far...... someday i will become a full fledged happy hooker ;)
tonight we went to borders because I wanted to get the 3rd book in the Twlight series....which I did get but ALSO got the most wonderfully amazing deal on one of my all time favorite books..Corduroy! i have always loved this book and what better thing to get than an oversized version! Ben got a book about the cosmos which was equally big-just with more pages. So..this is how we spent out Friday night....
This morning Ben had a flat tire on his jetta...he couldn't get it off so after driving to church..in my car, he tried some more...with no luck whatsoever.
He ended up calling a tow truck. I wanted to go along to keep ben company so I came with. The tow truck driver had a kids car seat in the front that he had to move for us to both get in. He was like..."Yah, my son comes with me on night tows, I've got this dvd player he can watch movies on and he can even play his WII." Weird. Ohh...and the drivers fly was WAY unzipped, luckily he was wearing underwear.
So here we are sitting in the Sears Auto Center... waiting. The funniest part to me is that the tv is on the PBS station playing a show about champagne production on the Danube. Yep...here in the sears auto center we sit watching a tv show about champagne...the type of people waiting here with us are not what I would necessarily consider wine connoisseurs but hey, who knows. Its been a little adventure that's for sure!
.....So just a little update for all those who care...they couldnt get the bolts of Bens car tire and it has to stay over night and soak in oil-the bolts...to hopefully loosen them up. Since I rode with Ben in the tow truck we didn't have a way home....smart move by me....and we were about 3 miles away. We thought about taking a cab and then saw the bus stop but the bus wasnt coming....so we started walking and it was cold....BUT as we were walking we spotted the bus and sprinted to the next bust stop...just in time to catch the bus..which took us much closer to home in a much warmer environment.....phew....what an afternoon....we are so glad to be home

tonight i went to the Y for my nightly run...on my walk back I saw a nice splat of orange colored puke on the ground-ick. Someone obviously worked out a BIT too hard... and thats the only exciting thing i have to blog about at the moment:)
Read more...well..i tried to make the jello again..with the correct measurements this time.....they still weren't easy to get out of the molds but I got a few letters/numbers out of it...I think I might resort to making ice cubes and other fun things with them....
is what the bank sign said on the way to work today.....NOT COOL.....bens car wouldnt start this morning so we took mine out here to wheaton. i was cold the whole way...the poor engine didn't even warm up.

its sunday eve and i am just sitting here watching Planet Earth with Ben. Its been a snowy weekend and i have not liked it-luckily i didnt have to really go out into it except to shovel the cars out and walk to Whole Foods to get some groceries. we did stop by walgreens as well and i got this little mushroom guy-isn't he cute? He is like the eggling I have-you crack the top and a little plant should eventually start to grow....I wanted the one with the red top but it wasn't the plant I liked-this one is a snapdragon. i am looking forward to seeing him grow!
I have been wanting this calendar for awhile...I love the prints and am hoping to frame them when I'm done with the calendar....so I ordered it online cause I couldn't find it anywhere else and it arrived today!! Now I just have to find the right wall spot for it.
