I've always wanted to visit Vermont in the fall and see all the beautiful foliage. This last week I finally did just that! It was an easy 4 hour drive to one of the prettiest fall places I've ever seen. Even the rest area was picturesque!
My parents drove out from Illinois to meet us and we stayed in a nice cabin in the middle of nowhere- or so it felt!
And the view from the cabin was amazing
We'd explore different areas each day and they were all so amazing with the fall colors. I've never seen fall colors quite so brilliant!
Calvin Coolidge's grave was in a cemetery on the road to our cabin
We visited a farm and Sophia enjoyed the animals.
We checked out Quechee Gorge..and it was beautiful!
We also visited King Arthur Flour
We stopped by a waterfall on our way to Vermont Country Store- where I found all sorts of fun stuff!
Sophias (finally) taken a big interest in her letters and numbers and enjoyed writing them while riding in the car
Penny even got her first sink bath and looked so cute!
On the way to Ben and Jerrys we stopped by another waterfall
We didn't take the tour because it was Columbus Day and they weren't making any ice cream and we didn't have much extra time . But, we did eat some ice cream!:)
Lunch at a local park
Cider donut stop!
My parents stayed a few more days with us after Vermont and we did some more exploring in NY
The beautiful Hudson:
Walking back from the school bus
And OMG- brief side note- Sophia got her school pictures back and ahh..it's so cute!
Visiting the Vanderbilt Mansion-
Freezing cold and windy Bear Mountain
It was an amazing week and we were sad to see them go! :(
