Basically it is like a little online bulletin board where you can pin things you like or want or anything! And I love having all sorts of fun things/ideas in one place. For instance, this:
Today I got myself out of bed nice and early to go hit up the REI garage sale. We didn't do anything last night anyways---so I had enough sleep--considering we went to bed before midnight. I mean--they drop the ball at 11 in New York so we already saw it happen and there was nothing good on tv:) Anyways...back to REI. We usually go to the Oakbrook REI for sales and they rock....I always find things. The Schaumburg REI was having their sale today...so we headed out at 7 am and I think we were one of the only cars on the road. I got out and Ben stayed in the car with Sophia until it was time to go in. BUT then they handed out tickets. So you got a ticket for a time slot and had 15 minutes to shop. WHAT? I am a much bigger fan of Oakbrook free for all. The ticket thing only benefits the first people--and granted, they were there for longer then me...but still. While waiting for my 8:30 time slot...it started at 8...I saw people carrying giant piles out..I mean giant---and trying stuff on and then putting it back in bins which the employees periodically brought back to the sale room....and did I mention the sale was in a back room...super duper tiny. So back to the bins----there is no way you can even see half the stuff because it isn't even there! So. Not. Cool. It was finally 8:30 and in I went to the super small room and there was hardly anything... Oakbrook has a giant tent with tables and tables of shoes...racks of clothes..so. much.stuff. I walked out of here with nothing..NOTHING!! So that is my rant...and don't go to that REI if you want a deal... so not worth it....I came back home and went back to bed with Sophia for another hour. She liked looking at my face so we fell asleep nose to nose. So cute...and made the morning all the better:)
Read more...I finally have some time to blog a bit. Things have been quite busy around here!! But not boring. Sophia seems to love hearing her voice lately---her screaming voice--she loves to scream rather than just babble. It is cute..usually...just not at 2 am:) Our tree has lost pretty much all of its needles...I was taking the ornaments off and found giant piles of needles on the floor. What else...oh, I got my new glasses and gee whiz the lenses are thick. I guess I got feather weight last time-like 5 years ago- but geez...over the top thick. I didn't want to pay much money so I got the 2 for $99 with the regular lenses. Good thing I only wear them right before bed....

Yep....I am all better...finally. Thank goodness for antibiotics. We went to the Habitat ReStore on Saturday and found a few things.....they had so much great stuff! All sorts of household things......sinks, toilets, tile, lights, cabinets, etc. We got some Flor carpet tiles for $1.00 per tile! i guess they were surplus from somewhere-but all brand new! They didn't have too many left but we got enough to fit on the floor in the bedroom and in colors that matched well enough. When you have a dog that sometimes likes to be a jerk and pee on your carpets...you don't want to spend too much money on them...
Yes--Gamer....do they even use that word? Who knows...but I'm using it because I have a new obsession. Well, wait..it isn't all that new... I guess you could say it has resurfaced and it goes by the name:
its sunday eve and i am just sitting here watching Planet Earth with Ben. Its been a snowy weekend and i have not liked it-luckily i didnt have to really go out into it except to shovel the cars out and walk to Whole Foods to get some groceries. we did stop by walgreens as well and i got this little mushroom guy-isn't he cute? He is like the eggling I have-you crack the top and a little plant should eventually start to grow....I wanted the one with the red top but it wasn't the plant I liked-this one is a snapdragon. i am looking forward to seeing him grow!
I have been wanting this calendar for awhile...I love the prints and am hoping to frame them when I'm done with the calendar....so I ordered it online cause I couldn't find it anywhere else and it arrived today!! Now I just have to find the right wall spot for it.
