all sorts of fun

today ben and i drove up to skokie to meet with someone about mortgages and what we might be able to afford to buy around here....condos/townhouses/houses are SO expensive....so who knows. While we waited in the office for her to make some copies Ben found a hip little boxing hamster.

After we met about all that we went to Old Orchard mall, did a little shopping, went to see the movie Wanted, found a HUGE bottle of salad dressing and some yummy lettuce, and basically enjoyed the mall:) After the mall we drove through Niles to check out The Leaning Tower-the leaning tower of niles that is. There was a big thunderstorm this afternoon and i saw a pretty little rainbow in the sky.

A rainbow AND the leaning tower? it doesnt get much better than that folks!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

So yesterday was Bens birthday. I’m like the worst wife ever-didn’t even give him a tribute on my blog! Ahhh….but we did go to FlatTop for dinner (i LOVE LOVE LOVE FlatTop) , Ben and Jerrys for ice cream, and watched some Flight of the Conchords episodes (love love love that show too!) oh and i love love love Ben!. He now joins me in the 28 year old age bracket (well I’m only in it until October I guess) so.....

Electronic Yodeling Pickle

i got the "Johnson Smiths Things You Never Knew Existed and other items you can't possibly live without catalog." Ben was looking through it tonight and when he got to the last page he said: "Electronic Yodeling Pickle!?" I started laughing and was like-"What?" Yep.....there it was right in front of me...the Electronic Yodeling Pickle...the gift EVERYONE needs! fam time

i love my family....i love visiting my parents and getting together with my cousins and we did just that today. we were going to go swimming at the champaign pool but it was raining all day....so instead my mom and i drove to champaign bright and early so she could go to the dr.-she thought she had pink eye but it was only allergies...PHEW! SOO... we picked up some wood stain and I stained a little step stool I have....its looking pretty good. I just finished putting the polyurethane coat on it and I am quite happy with my project...

we went over to bloomington in the afternoon and of course it was warm and sunny-and we had a blast. sat at picnic tables with some wonderful words of wisdom written on them...you can see below there is a pic of my grandma contemplating if she really wants to do what the seat tells her too do......

so we had a great time....found out my cousin is going to have another baby....so we will soon be adding one more to the mix!

ben comes home tomorrow and I am SO SO SO excited...its been a week without him ....tooooo long...

bad job

everyday as i drive home i pass x-sport fitness....they must really want/need new customers b/c they send their poor employees out there in work out gear doing exercises or riding exercise bikes while holding big signs advertising their specials....i got a pic today..you have to look close..i wasnt super close up ...but if you click on it you can see the shirtless guy hanging out with the x-sport sign on the exercise bike....now thats a bad job if you ask me.....but i guess its a job....better than nothing....and he is getting sun....:)

tonight i ran 2.7 miles in a 1/2 hour...i am almost to an 11 minute mile and almost to 3 miles!! AHHHH....and I am FINALLY at the point where I am able to breathe the whole time w/out dying and being out of breath and my legs arent hurting either!! RAHOO!! it feels so good!!:)

tonight Darth came to visit Ben and I.....he cleaned my toliet, floor, and dishes...he even enjoyed some tea when he was done. After that we all played SingStar.....we LOVE THAT GAME and here is our rockin video!
