switzerland day 3

Wowzers we saw some amazing places today....unfortunately I am out of time because we got back later and it takes FOREVER with this internet to upload pictures-plus I took over 300 alone today...yah.. crazy. This morning we took a cable car up and then a train to Murren-with about a million skiers. It is still ski season and we didn't really think about too much....but seriously....we were the only 2 of about 100 people on the train without skies and ski boots...i am seriously ready to get out of this snow country and into a city..ha. Anyways..Murren was beautiful:

And then we took a cable car to Gimmelwald-which is a little tiny town and only accessible by cable car. We bought some cheese and sausage from a lady who had a little cheese building across from her house with all sorts of cheese wheels in it...

After Gimmelwald we went back to Murren and took another cable car up to Schilthorn...it was cloudy and you couldn't see where you were going but once we broke through the clouds...wow...so amazing:

We ate in the rotating restaurant on top-with about a million other people-almost all with ski boots and skis.

After eating we took the cable car back down and thankfully most people skied down from the top so we were not smashed on the cable car. I have video of the cable car too...just no time to upload

So after getting down we decided to go to Interlaken for the night and hopped on the train. Touristy town-but a fun little town. We ate dinner there and than took the train back. This is the only picture I took there bc it started to get dark...

So now we are prepping for our day tomorrow-PARIS! We changed our ticket to leave at 8 am...we will go through Bern, Basel and Strasbourg, Germany and arrive in Paris about 2 pm....and I think I might need to clean off my memory card because I might be taking another 600 more photos these next 2 days.....so enjoy the few photos I have and I promise I will add more later.... BUT before I go..here is our hotel and room here in Lauterbrunnen:

switzerland day 2

last night may of been one of the best sleeps of my life-ha. It was amazing. So we both woke up feeling wonderfully refreshed and ready to go. We sat down for breakfast at the hotel...yummy

and then explored Lucerne. We went to the Lion Monument, the old city wall,  stores, and other fun sites. We bought some DELICIOUS but very smelly cheese and some roogenbrot-which would make my grandmother proud..and oh. my. goodness it was so good...we had it for lunch. We stopped by a chocolate store from some yummy truffles and marzipan...and boy do I love marzipan

So we checked out of our hotel around 10:30

and boarded the train for Interlaken.  What a beautiful train ride...here or some of the many photos we took....we took them through the train windows so some have reflections in them:

We arrived in Interlaken and hopped on the train for Lauterbrunnen and wow...what a gorgeous place. This is the view out our balcony.

We explored the town a bit-which is quite small-walked to the big water fall -which was frozen so was only a small trickle....and enjoyed the beauty of the mountains.

We then took a train ride up to Wengen-a small ski and resort town that does not allow cars-we were a bit out of place without skis or ski pants-but it afforded some amazing views...you can see down in the valley which is where we are staying....so amazing

After exploring Wengen we hopped on the train down and came back to eat and I had salmon and rosti..which was SO good..ben had some sausage and rosti ( a traditional swiss potato dish)...YUUMMMY

So now we are relaxing in our cozy little room and will soon go to bed to rest up for another day of amazingness. oh and today is our 2 year anniversary so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BEN!
