We share our garage and drive way with our neighbors (yes, I do miss my 3 car Illinois garage) and haven't been able to park in it since we moved in. There was a stove and mattresses and other junk left in there from the last owners. They also had a wall up with a door- kind of like a shed- but in the garage. Ben took down the wall and door and I cleaned the junk out and I can finally park! Even though it's only a one car garage- at least it's something. Ben drives every day so it's easier to park my car in there. Here is a pic of Ben removing the last remants of the wall-so exciting
While this was happening I also decided to check out the little storage area that I noticed was under the porch. I opened the little doors and to my suprise it wasn't a little storage space.
It's huge! I can even stand up in it- that is- after going through the small door. You can see the door above- it's small and not the easiest to get through but it's doable. Thank goodness for this space because there is no way we could've fit my car and all our garage stuff in the garage. Next time I go to the garage or storage space I'll snap another pic but trust me when I say we're already filling up the storage space. Pots, dirt, yard tools, bikes, summer toys, etc. Of course, with the weather we are having now I feel like it will be ages before we actually will need to get any of the summer stuff out. We got more snow last night... It's getting ridiculous
Btw- that plastic thing was in the garage and we are going to put it alongside the house for more storage. I just couldn't move it there myself and now it's covered with snow. Ok- back to the snow. I had to clear a path for Oliver because the snow was way too deep. Poor guy with his short, stubby legs.
Yesterday we ran errands and I loved how the snow looked on the trees and mountains. Well, hills I guess. I say mountains because I've never lived near anywhere with any elevation, so these are mountains to me
Not much else is happening here besides staying inside to escape the snow. Ben replaced an old ceiling fan in the LR this weekend. The old one had no light and this one does. Ceiling fans are never overly attractive but this one isn't terrible.
